3.5 out of 5 stars (above average) Note: If you have epilepsy and/or issues with prolonged loud noises, do not see Godzilla Vs Kong. Godzilla Vs Kong knows exactly what it is, what audiences want from it, and gives them just that. If you enjoyed the human focus in Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, and Godzilla:… Continue Reading
Zack Snyder’s Justice League: A Flawed, Fun Superhero Epic
3.5 out of 5 stars (Above Average) Zack Snyder’s Justice League is an extended cut of the largely unmemorable DC team-up film from 2017. Split into parts, this version restores director Zack Snyder’s original vision and ends the story in stirring fashion. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a flawed but surprisingly enjoyable finale that should… Continue Reading
Tenet: Good Acting Can’t Save Nonsensical Thriller
2.5 out of 5 stars (decent) There’s a lot riding on the success of Tenet. After multiple pushbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic and writer-director Christopher Nolan’s insistence that it be seen in theaters, many were proclaiming Tenet would bring everyone back to the movies again. I’m sad to say that not only does Tenet… Continue Reading

The Rise of Skywalker: Flawed But Fan-Pleasing Finale Has Strong Finish
2.5 out of 5 stars (Decent) I have always been a casual Star Wars fan. Outside of Solo, I enjoyed the movies well enough and have dabbled in some of the games and shows, but I don’t have a deep connection with this franchise others do. As a casual fan, I found Star Wars: The… Continue Reading
Frozen II: Bleak Sequel Will Leave Audiences Cold
2.4 out of 5 stars (Almost Decent) Frozen II is one of the most disappointing movies of the year. Its story is unfocused, its songs are forgettable and over-produced, and the ever-shifting tone prevents you from fully engaging with it. However, the animation is once again beautiful, some individual scenes hint at what could have… Continue Reading
